Ready for the start
The countdown has begun. There are only 3 days left until the official start of the sailing season for the multinational Esimit Sailing Team. The Rolex Capri Sailing Week will see this year’s first participation of the Esimit Europa 2 yacht, which is after intensive preparations during the winter, ready to take on the challenges that the year 2014 brings to the crew of this truly European boat.

Preparations for the new sailing season
The last months have been marked with several diplomatic activities and intensive preparations for the sailing season 2014. Igor Simčič, founder of the Esimit Europa project, met with one of Europe’s most influential diplomats, Martin Schulz, President of theEuropean Parliament, who salutes the Esimit Europa 2 yacht and its crew as a strong symbol of European unity and cooperation.

Esimit Sailing Team after successful performances in northern Europe now returns to the Mediterranean
After successfully completed challenges in northern Europe and line honours victory at the Rolex Fastnet Race, the Esimit Sailing Team is now returning to the Mediterranean to continue its performances. The first one will be at the Diplomatic regatta, which marks the first participation of Esimit Europa 2 in Slovenian waters.

Esimit Europa 2 racing in England for the First time
Esimit Sailing Team participated at the Big Boat Series at Cowes Week and achieved great success. Due to the lack of the wind the first race was canceled while the next 2 races were successfully carried out. Esimit Europa 2 achieved line honours at both of them. Those races were a good preparation for Esimit Sailing Team’s latest challenge, classic offshore race – Rolex Fastnet Race, which got on the way today. Take a look.

Children from Stiftung Drachensee onboard Esimit Europa 2

Season kick off at Kieler Woche
After being shipped from Valencia to Rostock, Esimit Europa 2 has finally reached Kiel, where it will perform at two races within the Kieler Woche. The 18-member crew will for the first time take part at the races in Germany, 22nd and 23rd June.
