The season 2013
Time flies and Esimit Europa 2 is heading into the 2013 season with ambitious goals. Some major changes in the racing schedule forecast new challenges for the Esimit Sailing Team which will fly the blue and golden European flag in some different countries than it did until now. Details about the new racing calendar will be announced in the upcoming weeks. So keep following the blog as we will give you some hints where we’re going to sail in the next season.

After a highly successful season, Esimit Europa 2 is at its winterbase in Valencia at the Puerto Amercias Cup. The mast and the bowsprit had already been taken down, along with the 2 rudders and the canting keel. See you the next season!

Esimit Europa 2 celebrates highly successful season with victory at Rolex Middle Sea Race
Wednesday, October 24th 2012, Valletta (Malta). The 33rd edition of the Rolex Middle Sea Race proved to be a real challenge for the 83 yachts, coming from 19 different countries, participating on the 606 nautical mile long course.

Update: First 48 hours – Esimit Europa 2 is leading the fleet
On Saturday, 20th October, a record number of 83 entrants from 19 countries set their sails for the 606 nautical mile long course at the Rolex Middle Sea Race. Crystal clear skies accompanied the fleet on its way with encouraging 12 knots of breeze while departing Grand Harbour in Valletta, these conditions were promising an exciting race. But worst fears, forecasted by navigators, came true when the fleet headed towards the Strait of Messina. Wind dropped down, leaving the fleet in extremely light winds, even occasional dead calms. Starting on the 20th October in Valletta, the Esimit Sailing Team is currently sailing through the strait of Messina! The second day of the Rolex Middle Sea Race started with a spectacular sunset, but very light wind conditions! Good winds boys!
