Esimit Europa 2 took line honours at the Palermo inshore race
Palermo’s Mondello bay offered a spectacular view of the inshore race, a great introduction to 8th edition of the Palermo – Monte Carlo regatta, starting tomorrow, 18th August at 13:00 CEST. The Esimit Sailing Team approached their mission very seriously, by convincingly taking line honours and winning also in corrected time in the IRC class.

Circolo della Vela Sicilia, co-organizer of one of the most beautiful Mediterranean races
The Esimit Sailing Team is again participating at the 500 nautical miles long race, connecting the cities of Palermo (Italy) and Monte Carlo (Monaco) with two of the most renowned sailing clubs. Race established in 2005 aims to start a new adventure which promises to become one of the most representative regattas of the Mediterranean. The regatta, organized by the Circolo della Vela Sicilia in collaboration with the Yacht Club de Monaco, marks the 8th edition of this sports event.

500 nautical miles ahead of Esimit Europa 2
500 nautical miles are ahead of Esimit Europa 2 at the 8th edition of the Palermo – Monte Carlo regatta starting on August 18th in Palermo, Sicily. After taking line honours last year and breaking the course record at the Giraglia Rolex Cup regatta in June, the Esimit Sailing Team led by German skipper Jochen Schümann is, in favourable conditions, aiming to beat the course record set in 2010.

Esimit Europa 2 is leaving its base in Antibes!
Today Esimit Europa 2 is leaving its base in Antibes and is heading for her next race: the Palermo – Monte Carlo regatta (August 18th – August 23nd 2012). With a perfect race from tactical and navigationalpoint of view she took line honours last year and finished the 500 nautical miles long course in 50 hours, 52 minutes and 30 seconds.
